The STANDSTILL Transfer Film is a revolutionary system for applying complex tattoo designs to the skin with greater speed and precision than traditional transfer paper. The transparent, flexible film allows for easy and accurate positioning, even on difficult body areas such as elbows and knees, and can be repositioned without leaving marks.
The film creates high-definition stencils, enabling artists to work layer by layer directly on the skin. Unlike traditional transfer paper, the film is applied directly to the skin and tattooed through. As the film is water-soluble, ointment should be used during tattooing, and excess ink should be gently dabbed away with a paper towel rather than wiped. The transfer film is compatible with inkjet printers.
The STANDSTILL Adhesive Stencil Spray has been specifically designed to work in combination with the STANDSTILL Transfer Film. It provides a secure, long-lasting stencil hold without the harshness or heavy residue often associated with traditional stencil sprays. This makes it especially effective on large, curved areas where slipping and smudging commonly occur.
Tested by experienced tattoo artists, STANDSTILL products are organic, eco-friendly, vegan, sustainable, and hypoallergenic. The Transfer Film is made from medical-grade Polymeric Alcohol (PVA), while the Adhesive Spray is formulated using skin-friendly, latex-free medical adhesives.
The Standstill Transfer System is suitable for a wide range of tattoo styles and techniques, including dotwork, geometric designs, illustrative work, cover-ups, tattoo extensions, and large-scale tattoos. It is also ideal for challenging placements such as elbows, knees, and neck areas.
How to Use:
Print your design using an inkjet printer
Spray a generous amount of STANDSTILL Adhesive Spray onto clean, dry skin and allow it to dry for a few seconds
Place the transfer film onto the skin, adjusting the position if necessary
Activate the film by lightly misting it from a distance with a disinfectant spray (a very fine spray nozzle is essential)
Tattoo through the film using ointment, gently dabbing excess ink instead of wiping
To remove, wet a paper towel with green soap and distilled water, place it over the film for 5 seconds, then wipe away
STANDSTILL recommends starting with a light to medium black rather than a solid black ink. You may need to increase machine voltage by 1–2 volts to compensate for the film. Practicing first with dotwork before lining is recommended.

A variety of disinfectant sprays can be used to activate the film.
